The Barbie Phenomenon

I have just surrendered to barbie. Until now I tried to keep Mia from playing with barbies. At birthdays and Holidays or for even no reason relatives load her up with barbies. I don't understand why barbie has to be so developed? What ever happened to Skipper? I still think Barbie is just too grown up for a 4 year old to be playing with...Yes I played with barbies but I was also ready for boobs since I can remember.
